JOA® Natural Cooling Jets
JOA® has applied advanced Jet-technology™, for EHS WBGT (Wet Bulb Glow Temperature index)-compliant cooling applications in extruder plants. JOA® designed a combination of circular primary jets + secondary fresh air jets.
-
The primary jets are used for making a slight turbulent flow, allowing the warm, polluted air to be moved out of the zone between the extruder lines and the LWF platform.
-
The secondary jets supply the required fresh, filtered air.
The combined jets configuration, for both (adjustable) primary jet and secondary jets is integrated on one distribution header, for each extruder line. Each header is connected to the HVAC ducting. To facilitate fine-tuning, each header is balanced using the JOA® Iris restriction valve.
Advantages:
-
Sufficient cooling capacity DT of 7 to 8 ºC.
-
Measured / calculated WBGT-index ranges between 25 and 26 ºC.
-
No additional cooling capacity is required.
-
Integrated in the existing HVAC installation.
